When we go to Parkgate, it's usually for their fish and chips. The gluten free batter is as good if not better than regular, nice and crispy. The chips are as good as you can get. One of the advantages of gluten free fish is, it is always freshly made, but if you go at busy times as we did this time you may have a small wait but as our 2 sons can attest the regular battered fish is just as good. We used to go to Parkgate for the fantastic views across the River Dee to North Wales and the Home Made Ice Cream from Nichols just down the road from here but since finding this chippy we tend to make an afternoon of it. Oh and by the way, if you are lucky there is a small amount of seating inside and toilet facilities.

Extremely expensive for takeaway fish and chips yes but is it worth every penny and minute waiting in the queues ABSOLUTELY. They never fail taste wise, portion size has shrunk over the years but what businesses hasn’t really. Great location and friendly staff. We now only eat fish and chips from here or a place in Conwy as everywhere else doesn’t compare. Don’t get me wrong I would love them to either lower their prices or up portion sizes but I will still keep coming here regardless

Heard great things about this place so had to try it whilst in the area( actually went back the next week) Great service, delicious fish and chips plus nice area to eat in or take out . Parking could be a problem but we went on our bikes and leaned them up outside.

Hands down, my favourite fish and chips in the North West. The chips were so tasty, the fish was light and juicy and the batter light and crispy. The quality is exceptional. I thought the portion seemed a tiny bit smaller than my last visit but to be honest, this made it more manageable. And I was able to finish my friend's portion:)

The world's best gluten free fish and chips. How they are also able to be good at salt and chilli prawn and chips is a mystery to me. Its an idyllic setting and a building steeped in history. Well worth a trio out.

Fish quality is excellent at Parkgate. The fish & chips is not cheap but this is an occasion when you get what you pay for. The servers get the food out as quickly as possible but most things are freshly cooked so expect a few delays Tiny place so limited seating;it's pot luck whether you get a table. But most customers are here for takeaway
